  1. Under Fabric Components, select Communication Policies.
  2. Click "" next to Communication Policies.
  3. Type a name, up to 256 characters.
  4. Type a description, up to 1,000 characters.
  5. Type an integer from 1 and 5 to set the number of data transfer streams that can run simultaneously. The default value is 1.
  6. [Optional] Select Enable compression for data transfer to allow ZStandard data compression on row blocks during data transfer.
  7. Select the combination of authentication, integrity and encryption checks you want to use.
    Option Description
    IP-based authentication, no integrity check, no encryption  
    IP-based authentication, checksum integrity check, no encryption
    1. Select the extent of the integrity checks to be run.
    Key-based authentication, secure integrity check, encrypt credentials
    1. Select the extent of the integrity checks to be run.
    2. Select the size of the authentication key.

      By default, QueryGrid uses a 2048-bit authentication key.

    3. Select the size of the encryption key.

      By default, QueryGrid uses a 2048-bit encryption key.

    4. Select the encryption/integrity algorithm.

      By default, QueryGrid uses AES-GCM.
