  1. Accessing the Data Domain Webpage.
  2. Select a Data Domain network from the left panel.
  3. Select System Settings from the ribbon at the top of the dialog box.
  4. Select General Configuration from the System Settings secondary ribbon.
    The General Configuration options display.
  5. Select the SNMP tab.
  6. Select the Create button in the Communities area within the SNMP V2C Configuration area of the page.
    The Create SMP V2C Community dialog box displays.
  7. Use the Create SMP V2C Community dialog box to create a community with the following:
    • Community: public
    • Access: read-only
  8. Click OK.
  9. Select the Create button again.
  10. Use the Create SMP V2C Community dialog box to create another community with the following:
    • Community: private
    • Access: read-write
  11. Click OK.
  12. Verify both the public community and the private community display in the list.
