Alerts are stored in the Unity repository for persistence. When two Unity servers are deployed in a High Availability configuration, alerts are automatically synchronized between Unity repositories.
You can set the time limit to delete cleared alerts in the Unity Setup portlet, in the Global Settings tab. Or you can use UnityAdmin to set the AlertPurgeTime parameter.
