The repository is a Teradata database containing the Unity data dictionary and the configuration data. The Unity data dictionary shows the Teradata Database objects and databases that Unity manages.
There are two copies of the repository that are synced with a sequencer process. Each Unity server is associated with one repository.
The Unity configuration settings are updated on the repository with UnityAdmin commands.
