If a database reset happens, ODBC Driver for Teradata works with the database to Redrive (continue) the requests with some exceptions. There are cases where continuation is not possible.

Participating in Redrive is optional and can be controlled in multiple ways:
  • ODBC Driver for Teradata may choose to participate or not participate or let the database decide.
  • TASM or QUERY_BAND may override ODBC Driver for Teradata's choice.
  • Once a session is established with Redrive participation, an application can turn Redrive participation OFF or back ON using SQL_ATTR_REDRIVE.
