The Java Client is used to configure, monitor, administer, service, and maintain the system. Events that are serious enough to affect the operation of the system generate Alerts and Summary Alerts/System Problems based on the correlation and summarization of known patterns. These are viewable on the Summary Alerts tab of the Java Client.

Summary Alerts represent system problems that may require a service action to resolve. The Summary Alerts tab is the first place to look to understand and resolve system issues, referred to as System Problems in the Web Client.

User Directories

By default, the Java Client data is saved in username/sm_client/host
