  • If you are installing an update or working with multiple versions of the software, create one copy of the HSIOSSI and TRDTMAS program pair for each version.

    HSIOSSI

    HSIOSSIx

x* is one EBCDIC alphanumeric or national ($, #, @) character that uniquely identifies HSIOSSI within the Link Pack Area.

TDP is told to use this version of HSIOSSI in one of the following ways:

    • By specifying PARM='OSSISUFX=x' on the EXEC JCL statement used to start TDP
    • By specifying the TDP 'INITIAL OSSISUFX x' command in the TDPPARM dataset provided when TDP is started

An INITIAL command value overrides any PARM value.

HSIOSSI is installed into dbcpfx.LPALIB during SMP APPLY processing and must continue to reside in LPA. HSIOSSI is not effective until the LPA is refreshed through a CLPA or MLPA IPL.
You can use sample USERMOD TDU0003 (in dbcpfx.SAMPLIB) to create unique versions of the SVC Communication Interface.
