Date-form is initialized to the default value provided for Date-form in the site‘s HSHSPB. If the value is not appropriate for an application, the application may, before calling DBCHCL for Connect, change the values as follows:

  1. Set Change-options to ‘Y‘.
  2. Change the value for Date-form as follows:
    If... Then change the value for Date-form to...
    dates are stored using the default setting for the user (if such a default is associated with the user) or for the Teradata Database D
    dates are stored in Teradata format T
    dates are stored in ANSI format A
T may always be specified, but A is rejected if the Database does not support ANSI date formats.

Use mnemonics for the codes. Mnemonics are provided in the language definition file for the DBCAREA.
