The DBCAREA contains option values used by the CLIv2 routines. These options are initially set by DBCHINI based on the HSHSPB defaults provided to the program. The application may alter any of these options as necessary for the particular processing required. Note that not all options (and in some cases, none) are used by all calls to CLIv2.
A change in an option is indicated to CLIv2 by setting the Change-options field to ‘Y‘. All options may then be copied by CLIv2 for use. CLIv2 will verify the settings for the options as necessary.
