Nodes and drive enclosures are interconnected into a clique configuration for fault tolerance. The 670 Teradata database processing (TPA) node has redundant connections to the disk array. All links are point to point.

The supported configuration for a 670C with HDDs only and no slots reserved for SSDs is:
