Creating a Repository
A Teradata MDS repository can contain information for multiple Teradata Database systems. Therefore you can create the Teradata MDS repository in one Teradata Database and load information into it from another Teradata Database.
Note: The Teradata Database that will contain the repository needs to have been already created before you can create the repository. See Teradata Meta Data Services Installation Guide B035-3045 for additional information.

Note: The following instructions assume that the system does not have an existing MDS repository created from an earlier version of MDS.
