Teradata MDS Security Basics
Repository Logon Access
Teradata MDS maintains its own set of MDS users, separate from Teradata Database users. These MDS users are the only users that have logon access to the MDS repository. The MDS administrative user called metasu is the only user predefined in MDS and can create all other MDS users, including other MDS administrators.
A Teradata MDS administrator or super user (for example, metasu) has permissions to do anything. For now you can run everything as metasu and learn how to set up other users or additional administrators at a later time.
