If Server Management is configured properly, the sm3gnode package should be automatically updated when necessary.
For example, the following updated sm3gnode package has been pushed down by CMIC:
# rpm -qa | grep sm3gnode sm3gnode-12.07.01.00-1.x86_64

If the node has been configured for Server Management, /etc/opt/teradata/sm3g/smainfo should be created automatically. For example:
# cat /etc/opt/teradata/sm3g/smainfo PMA 7364 BYNETIP 39.0.8.11 BYNETMASK 255.240.0.0 BYNET1IP 39.64.8.11 BYNET1MASK 255.240.0.0 SYSTEM 1
