The client system

A valid userid and password

Additional user identifiers might be required.

Teradata Database

A valid Teradata userid and password

An account identifier (acctid) or a Teradata Director Program Identifier (tdpid) or both might be required.

Obtaining Client System Access

To obtain client system access identifiers, see the site system administrator to obtain a userid, password and any other identifiers needed to log on to the client system.

Obtaining Teradata Database System Access

To obtain the Teradata Database access identifiers, see the site system administrator or Teradata administrator to obtain a userid, password, and any other identifiers needed to access a Teradata Database.

Additional Teradata Database Privileges

Additional Teradata Database privileges might be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Access certain databases or tables.
  • Create, copy, or modify databases or tables.
  • Create and use Teradata SQL macros.
  • Create and use Teradata stored procedures.
  • Contact the site system administrator or Teradata administrator to obtain any additional privileges required for system access. For more information on access privileges, refer to SQL Data Definition Language and Database Design.
