[Base, Advanced, and Enterprise tiers only] You can scale out (add nodes to) your system either during deployment using the solution template, or after deployment using the command line. You can scale in (remove nodes from) your system only after deployment using the command line.
[Base, Advanced, and Enterprise tiers only] Using the solution template, you can scale out a base number of nodes (x) during deployment. Selecting Scale Out-2x allows you to deploy from 2 to 32 nodes (in multiples of 2), or Scaled Out-4x to deploy from 4 to 64 nodes (in multiples of 4). If you are not ready to scale out during deployment, select Scaled Out-Ready to deploy from 1 to 32 nodes that are available to scale out in the future.
