If you deployed Teradata Server Management using AWS CloudFormation, you can run cmic-cloud-config interactively or in batch mode. This utility automatically increases or decreases the number of CMICs based on the guideline of 70 nodes per Teradata Server Management instance. If you deployed a single CMIC using AWS CloudFormation you can add a second CMIC using the high availability option.
  1. Log on to the first CMIC and run cmic-cloud-config --ha.
    • The second CMIC is deployed and configured to communicate with the first CMIC.
    • The CMIC instance names are updated to reflect their place in the sequence.
