Teradata offers a software implementation service to configure certain software. Although you can configure this software on your own, we recommend contacting Teradata instead. Where this is applicable, it is noted at the beginning of the individual software configuration procedures.
Required configuration procedures and, in some cases, individual steps in those procedures differ based on deployment method. The table at the beginning of each configuration procedure helps you determine whether you need to complete the procedure. Steps specific to certain deployment contexts are identified individually within procedures. In the absence of a table, the procedure does not depend on deployment method.
To prepare for configuration, set up a supported system console that supports SSH protocol, such as PuTTY or SecureCRT.
