Teradata Database initially starts with security defaults that are compatible with the security defaults in previous Teradata Database releases and with the newly installed Teradata Tools and Utilities programs. Do not modify any of the security settings in either Teradata Database or Teradata Tools and Utilities at this time. After the migration is complete, you can review the newly available security capabilities and revise your security setup if required. See Security Administration, B035-1100 for full details.
