To reconfigure a Teradata relational database management system (RDBMS) instance after finalizing the order, customers must submit a change order request. Examples of configuration changes include:
- Reducing the size of an existing RDBMS instance to make infrastructure resources available for future use
- Provisioning a new RDBMS instance from available resources
- Splitting one RDBMS instance into two or more instances
- Merging two or more RDBMS instances into one instance
The change order request includes any required transaction services that support the reconfiguration.
