During the project defining phase, customers can provide elasticity requirements to define any needed reserve capacity. For an additional fee, customers can enable optional reserve capacity to scale system resources (compute, memory, and storage) above the original subscription agreement baseline.
When creating a new system, an ICOP instance is available for read-only operations during which customers cannot load or change data but can run queries and reports. A few minutes of scheduled downtime occurs when the new resources are ready.
Teradata monitors the on-premises infrastructure capacity for the Analytical Ecosystem and recommends provisioning additional capacity as needed. Customers can add infrastructure capacity through a purchase order request.
