Changing Options Arguments

The application may specify values in the DBCAREA for the various option arguments before calling DBCHCL for these functions:

  • Connect
  • RunStartUp
  • Command
  • Initiate with Protocol‑Function
  • Initiate Request

    • The program indicates to CLIv2 that changes to the options are to be honored by setting the value of Change Options to 'Y' in the DBCAREA.

    Any legal values of processing options are used by DBCHCL, and any blank values of processing options default to the installation‑specified values from the HSHSPB.
