Change Options
The Connect function will always validate and save the DBCAREA options, regardless of the Change Options. The options remain in effect until another Connect function is requested or the values are changed when an Initiate Request, Initiate With Protocol‑function, or RunStartUp function call is made (Change Options = Y).
Note: Implicit logon processing will also always validate and save the DBCAREA options. For more information, see “Implicitly Establishing a Session” on page 64.
