Arrange a time for the Teradata Customer Services to update firmware and drivers on your system to the latest Teradata certified releases. Although these upgrades are not required, Teradata strongly recommends that they be done prior to the Teradata Database upgrade. Firmware and driver updates are performed by Teradata CSRs.
