The normal sequence of operations when using PP2 is to connect to the Teradata Database, then invoke PP2 to run against the embedded SQL host program. This chapter discusses these operations, plus exceptions (for example, it is not necessary to connect to the Teradata Database before invoking PP2).
The chapter also includes PP2 options, which allow control of the preprocessing environment of an application module.
