Installing the TeradataAsterR package on a Aster Database platform is optional.
If the user has any R scripts written using Teradata Aster R function calls, then the user needs to install the TeradataAsterR package after Installing open-source R on the Aster Cluster.
If the user already has TeradataAsterR installed on the Aster cluster, and needs to upgrade it to a later version, skip the the preparation steps described in this appendix, and go to Installing the TeradataAsterR Package section directly to install the desired version of TeradataAsterR package.
