This function is only available when connected to a Teradata database.

The current transaction date (based on the session time zone). The TEMPORAL_DATE value is identical for all requests submitted in each transaction. TEMPORAL_DATE is not supported in a partitioning expression for the PARTITION BY clause that defines a partitioned primary index. When dragging a Temporal Date function into a variable, the following tree element is created.

Variable Creation > Input > Variables: SQL Elements pane - Date and Time > Temporal Date

There are no children (empty) branches of the tree as no arguments are required for the Temporal Date function.

There are no special properties for the Temporal Date function.
