This chapter describes the functions required from an Access Module and the supporting data structures for those functions. This information is necessary for writing an Access Module to support an I/O subsystem that is not currently supported by Teradata, such as a module to access a CD/ROM burner or an automated satellite up/downlink.
All of the program examples and descriptions use the C programming language.
