Use the Alert Escalation Test to test the full alert detection path to one or more nodes. This is the end-to-end path that events and alerts take from managed nodes to the TVI backend. If the alert detection path is correct, the TVI backend receives a summary alert.

Maintenance is on and Notify is on; therefore, an incident is not generated, but notification is sent. Nodes that failed the test are flagged in the summary, which you can view in SMClient.

The Alert Escalation Testing PSR can be viewed in MyWork and an AIC2 email notification is sent.

When you run the Alert Escalation on an unfiltered Tree View, it runs against every node on the system. When you run it on a filtered Tree View, it only runs for the system shown on the Tree View.
