Prior to Teradata Database 16.10, moving objects to a new hash map meant taking the system offline for a period of time. DSA takes advantage of the new Teradata Database MAPS Architecture introduced in Teradata Database 16.10 and later to allow you to back up objects from one map and restore them to another.
