Disabling IR requires three separate processes: having Teradata disable it on the target system, disabling it at the object level on the target system, disabling incremental backup on the source system.

    Disable IR on the Target Database at System Level

  1. Have Teradata Support disable IR on the target database.
  2. Disable IR on the Target Database at the Object Level

  3. Use one of these techniques to disable IR:
    Choice Description
    Run an IR restore job with the allow write option Use one of these methods:
    • Run run_job with the -a|allow_write option on the IR-enabled restore job
    • At the BAR Operations portlet, from an IR-enabled restore job, select "" > Run Job, then select Allow write for objects after restore.
    Run build restore objects with the allow write option Use one of these methods:
    • Run build_restore_objects with the -a|allow_write option on the IR-enabled restore job
    • At the BAR Operations portlet, from an IR-enabled restore job, select "" > Run Job, then select Allow write for objects after restore.
  4. Disable IR Enabled Backup on the Source System

  5. Run cleanup on the IR disabled source system using one of the following:
    • Run cleanup_ir_source_system (Use list_cleanup_ir_source_system to display the output.).
    • On the BAR Setup portlet, select DSC Servers > Systems and Nodes > Systems > IR Support > Cleanup.
