The Post Install Procedures step runs procedures that must be executed after installing packages.

No user interaction required.
Procedure Description
tpareset -f or tpareset -x A tpareset -f (reconcile and restart) or tpareset -x (shutdown) is required to complete the version switch on each system. The tpareset command is only executed on one TPA node in each system. The type of tpareset (restart or shutdown) depends on the reboot status of the TPA nodes in each system.
Disable automatic startup of database For all nodes that will have Teradata installed, the Teradata startup script(/etc/rc3.d/S50tpa ) is moved to /etc/rc3.d/s50tpa so that the database does NOT automatically come up on system reboot.
bastille Configures the system for increased security.
SUSEconfig Configures the system using the variables set in the various /etc/sysconfig files.
If you perform a SLES move, you must run Configure Teradata Vantage in Rebuild Vconfig File Only mode after completion of the PUT Install/Upgrade operation. The following reminder displays:
