  1. Click SMWeb client on the top of the screen.
  2. Right-click on the nodename where you want to open a Console window, then select Connect > Console.
  3. Press Enter 3-4 times until a login: prompt appears.
  4. Login to the node.
  5. Set the DISPLAY environment variable with SWS DISPLAY information obtained:
    export DISPLAY=sws_slan:4.0 or export DISPLAY=39.80.8.62:4.0
  6. Type xclock to confirm that the xclock is displayed on the SWS screen.
    If it is not displayed, go back to the SWS console window and type xhost +. This allows everyone to connect. There are options to the xhost command to allow a particular host to connect. The user can obtain the options if needed.
  7. Type PUT to start the PUT application.
