Selecting Check from the Constraint button in the Create Table dialog box displays the Define Check Constraints dialog box.

Use the Define Check Constraints dialog box to define a Boolean condition Check constraints for the table.

Check

This list displays the name of each Check constraint specified for the table. Selecting a constraint in this list then displays its specifications in the Boolean Condition field.

Name

Use this field to specify an optional name for the Check constraint. The name specify is displayed in the checklist when the Add button is used to save your constraint specification.

Note: Constraint names are optional. If a name is not entered, Teradata Administrator displays UnNamed in this field and creates the table without a constraint name specification.

Boolean Condition

Use this field to enter the conditional expression for the Check constraint.
