Your role determines your privileges. Privileges include features you can access and tasks you can perform.

Systems

Features and Tasks User Administrator Root User
Add and edit Teradata, Aster, Presto, or Hive systems.    
Create service accounts for apps that run once or on a schedule or scripts and assign administrators to the service accounts.    

Apps and Scripts (Development)

Add, edit, and delete registries to deploy Docker images for apps.    
Create apps and scripts  
Restrict perpetual app creation to administrators.    
Edit and delete apps and scripts you created.  
Edit and delete apps and scripts other users created.    
Change the time period for expiration of Docker images associated with deleted apps.    
Assign and unassign service accounts to scripts or to apps that run once or on a schedule.    
View apps and scripts you created.  
View apps and scripts other users created.    
View apps and scripts for which you have been added as a manager.  
Create and manage tags for filtering apps and scripts.    
Bookmark filtered views of apps and scripts.  

Jobs (Running Apps and Scripts)

Run apps and scripts you created.  
Run apps and scripts other users created.    
View execution status of all jobs.  
View job results for apps and scripts you created.  
Share single or all job results for the apps and scripts you created with all, selected, or no other users.  
View job results other users shared with you.    
Change the default (30 day) time period for expiration of job results    

Access

Features and Tasks User Administrator Root User
View, add, edit, and delete authentication LDAP configuration settings.    
Add new users from LDAP configurations.  
Promote other users to and demote users from the administrator role.  
Modify permissions of other users, but not your own.  
Designate other users as managers of apps and scripts you created, or of apps and scripts for which you have been added as a manager. Managers are considered owners and can edit app and script info, code, configuration, and permissions.  
Make private an app or script you created that runs once or on a schedule.  
Grant specific users or groups access to your private apps and scripts.  
Grant and revoke app and script permissions of other users.    

Communication

Create, archive, and delete system messages, and review archived system messages.    
View and dismiss system messages posted by a root user.  
Configure, edit, and delete the SMTP email account for notifications.    
Contact app and script owners.  

Administration

Features and Tasks User Administrator Root User
View audit logs.    
View system logs.    
Access the administrator dashboard to view app and script statistics, job metrics, logs, and recent apps.
