In a single-system configuration, server management monitors and manages a single instance of Teradata. The system has a unique system name. All the nodes and disk arrays in the system must share a common Server Management Domain and a common Site ID configured in server management.
A 2850 system is a single-system configuration only if all of the following are true:
- The 2850 cliques in each of the cabinets are all part of the same 2850 system.
- There are no additional 2800 or 680 systems in any cabinets.
- The 2850 system is not in a UDA environment.
A system is a single-system configuration only if it is not in a UDA environment.
