CLI0536 The request exceeds the channel-device capacity

Explanation:

The length of a request exceeds the maximum amount of data that may be sent to the Teradata Database on the type of channel device being used.

Notes:

This error is detected by TDP when a request exceeds the product of the maximum number of blocks per request and the maximum size of a block that may be sent on the selected channel device. The size not only includes data provided by the application (request data, using data, any DBCAREA extensions), and any overhead added by CLIv2 to reflect DBCAREA options, but also overhead required by the communication protocol for the type of channel device (CIC or CCU) selected.

Remedy:

Shorten the request or if channel devices supporting larger requests exist, upgrade the device hardware.
