Use the Teradata TARA GUI for this procedure.
There is a required order of configuration after a new installation of Teradata TARA. The first time after installation, define at least one of each of the following components before proceeding to the next definition. Follow the order given below:
- Teradata Database system (see Step 1 - Configuring the Teradata Database System)
- Clients system (see Step 2 - Configuring the Client Systems)
- Client Groups (see Step 3 - Configuring the Client Groups)
- Tivoli information (see Step 4 - Configuring Tivoli Information)
Click Refresh to populate the Client-Management Class Association and Available Management Classes columns.
Do not click Apply until you have completed these four steps. Applying these changes before defining the Tivoli information results in an external query failure.
