All drives in a 6800C system are HDDs.
The following standalone configurations are supported for a 6800C 2+1 clique with HDDs:

For standard configurations of a 6800C 2+1 clique with four disk arrays, the following guidelines apply:
- Two Teradata Database nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
- 36, 42, or 46 AMPs per node
- 144, 168, or 184 drives per node (no mixed drive types or sizes in each disk array)
- 72, 84, or 92 drives per array
For a Variable Override configuration of a 6800C 2+1 clique with four disk arrays, the following guidelines apply:
- This Variable Override configuration requires approval from Teradata
- Two Teradata Database nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
- Up to 46 AMPs per node
- Up to 184 drives per node in multiples of 4 or 6 (no mixed drive types or sizes in each disk array)
- Up to 92 drives per array in 4 arrays
