SQL Assistant provides an optional Restricted Data mode. When this mode is in effect, the user cannot:
- Save Answer set data
- Copy Answer set data to the clipboard
- Export data directly to a file.
To activate restricted mode, create a file called Restricted.config in the directory where the SQL Assistant application [SQLA.exe] is installed. No content is required in this file; the application simply checks for the existence of this file.
This file may be hidden but the user must have permission to read the file. To fully enforce this security rule the permissions on this file must be set such that the user cannot delete or move this file.
