In a single-system configuration, server management monitors and manages a single instance of Teradata. The system has a unique system name. All the nodes and disk arrays in the system must share a common Server Management Domain and a common Site ID configured in server management.
A 2800 system is a single-system configuration only if all of the following are true:
- The 4+0 and/or 2+0 cliques in the base and expansion cabinets are all part of the same 2800 system.
- There is no second 2800 system, or one or more 680 systems, in the base cabinet.
- The 2800 system is not in a UDA environment.
