When CMICs detect changes to hardware, software, and component firmware information, the asset information is updated and changes are communicated to the Teradata backend if the site is connected using Teradata ServiceConnect. Asset information includes the following:
- Inventory information (such as model numbers, serial numbers, and part numbers)
- System configuration parameters
- Component revision levels
