You can view the status of any resource, such as a node, for troubleshooting purposes. You can see if a VM is running, stopped, and so on. For more information, see the Microsoft Azure Blog and search for Diagnose and resolve issues with Azure Troubleshooting.
- From the Azure portal, select the resource and review the Overview page. You can determine if a VM is running, stopped, and so on.

[Optional] From the Azure portal, do the following to troubleshoot why a resource may not be functioning as expected.
- Click Settings.
- In the right pane, select any choice under Support + Troubleshooting.
