Analytical Ecosystem
  1. A Listener administrator identifies LDAP domains. If the user is a part of that domain, the user can log in to Listener.
  2. An administrator sets up Teradata Database, HDFS, Hbase, and Aster systems so users can create targets. For more information, see Target System Permissions.
  3. Users log in to Listener and create sources and targets for incoming data streams, and then start the targets.

When you log in to Listener, the Overview dashboard displays. The Overview and Source Overview dashboards provide a visual representation of Listener data pipelines. For each data source and associated target, Listener continuously monitors incoming data streams, gathers metadata, and shows metrics for data flow over time, such as number of records and size of records.
