Use the SQL INCLUDE statement to incorporate those host variable definitions or SQL statements to be used by the precompiler which come from an external copy file.
The precompiler does not recognize the normal PL/I %include statement, which would cause an error if the necessary host variable declarations in an include file were unavailable to PP2.
SQL INCLUDE can be used anywhere a PL/I %include statement is legal.
