Program Status Information - Preprocessor2 for Embedded SQL

Each time a SQL statement is executed, it returns a code to communicate whether or not the statement executed successfully. Therefore, define an area to receive these codes.

When precompiling applications in:

Teradata mode (by setting the TRANSACT option to BTET, COMMIT or 2PC), define a communications area by using the INCLUDE SQLCA statement.

ANSI mode (by defining TRANSACT as ANSI), use the SQLCODE and SQLSTATE variables to receive feedback information.

Do not mix program status communication areas between Teradata and ANSI compatible modes.
