The Teradata Appliance for Hadoop includes preinstalled services that may not be necessary for all customers. Putting unnecessary services into maintenance mode prevents alerts from starting automatically and sending alerts.
- Log on to Ambari.
- In the Services menu, select the service to disable.

In the Service Actions drop-down menu, select Turn On Maintenance Mode.
This prevents alerts from being generated.
- In the Service Actions drop-down menu, select Stop.
- In the Confirmation window, click Confirm Stop.
