For CDH clusters, modify the default queue name in /home/beehive/config/asteryarn.cfg to root.default.

If needed, you can update the queue to a queue other than the default queue. For example, to use the YARN Capacity Scheduler feature, update the queue property in/home/beehive/config/asteryarn.cfg to the exact hierarchy shown in the Capacity Scheduler and then perform a softstartup of the cluster.
