Purpose

Identifies the point at which BTEQ resumes processing, as specified in a previous GOTO command.

Syntax


LABEL syntax

where the following is true:

labelname
The user-defined name of the statement.The labelname value can be composed of any combination of the letters A..Z (upper or lower), the 0..9 numeric digits and underscores. Only the first 30 characters are significant. Special characters '$' and '#' are also accepted but may be subject to misinterpretation for scripts that are to be preprocessed by shell languages.

Usage Notes

The LABEL command identifies the target of a GOTO statement.

Example – LABEL

The following command example specifies OCCUPATION as the name of the statement at which BTEQ resumes processing as specified in a previous GOTO command:
