Use the min() method to return column-wise minimum value of a DataFrame.

Example: Return minimum value of a DataFrame

>>> df.min()
      min_employee_no min_first_name min_marks min_dob min_joined_date
    0             100           abcd      None    None      1902-05-12

Example: Return minimum value of some columns of a DataFrame

>>> df1 = df.select(['employee_no', 'first_name', 'joined_date'])

>>> df1.min()
      min_employee_no min_first_name min_joined_date
    0             100           abcd      1902-05-12
