You can save the job scripts that are generated with the Backup All, Backup Selected Objects, Restore Latest, and Restore Selected Object options and use them in scripts that automate backing up and restoring user data.

If you use the saved Backup All job script to automate backing up all DBC data, verify that the script information matches the /etc/opt/teradata/abu_service/defaults file, which contains the most recent information. If the information in the Backup All job script is not current, restart the Appliance Backup Utility GUI and resave the script.

If you use the saved Restore Latest script to automate restoring the latest job, manually update the SOURCEUID with the SOURCEUID from the /var/opt/teradata/abu_service/service/config/latest file. The Restore Latest script is not automatically updated with the SOURCEUID, which is a unique number that identifies every Appliance Backup Utility job. If the SOURCEUID is not updated, an incorrect backup job will be restored.

You do not need to manually update the SOURCEUID when you are using saved Restore Selected Object scripts.
